Dr. Albano Barberá Guardo specializes in physical education and sports medicine. He holds a master's degree in traumatology. He is a member of the board of directors of SETRADE (Spanish Society of Sports Traumatology). He has over 20 years of experience in the sector.
TRAUMATOLOGY CONSULTATION
Traumatology is the branch of medicine dedicated to the study of musculoskeletal injuries. At our center, we treat all types of problems, including osteoarthritis, tendonitis, fractures and immobilizations, meniscopathies, herniated discs, impingements, and joint replacements.
MUSCULOSKELETAL ULTRASOUND
It is a type of ultrasound that allows for the examination of various structures of the musculoskeletal system, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae, cartilage, and bone surfaces primarily.
ULTRASOUND-GUIDED INFILTRATIONS
Punctures were previously performed blindly, based solely on palpation. With the introduction of ultrasound, they are now performed under ultrasound guidance, allowing the medication to be introduced directly into the injured area with greater precision and safety. This reduces the risk of damaging other structures, increases treatment efficacy, and avoids the adverse effects associated with oral drug use.

Forensic examiners are experts in certain fields, with trauma examiners being experts in the musculoskeletal system and the injuries and damage that may occur there.
