CHIROPODY
A podiatrist is a specialist in one of the most important parts of the human body: the feet. A podiatric practice offers a multitude of treatments for foot diseases and conditions. The podiatrist will try to resolve or alleviate the ailments and concerns that arise in our daily lives, as well as prevent possible injuries through foot health education.
PEDICURE
Foot care and maintenance are performed in chiropody, a service that involves treating toenails, as well as any plantar or digital conditions. Ingrown toenails, calluses, and hyperkeratosis are some of the most common complaints seen in consultations.
MYCOSIS
Papillomavirus (HPV) is a highly contagious disease that usually appears on the hands, mouth, feet, and genitals. It can be contracted through direct contact, in humid and watery environments, as well as during stress and in immunocompromised patients. There are several treatments to eliminate this virus.
HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS
Commonly called fungal infections, ringworm is very common in this essential part of our body. They are very persistent, leading to very uncomfortable symptoms such as itching, redness, cracking, nail loss, and nail deformity. The most common are mycoses caused by dermatophytes (ringworm) and Candida, and they occur in areas of maceration and moisture. For this reason, ringworm is very common in the interdigital spaces and on the soles of the feet. To detect the presence of mycosis, a diagnostic examination is necessary. There are several treatments for mycosis.
DIABETIC FOOT
In diabetic patients, a podiatric checkup is undoubtedly important. Due to poor healing and complications in these patients, it is advisable to visit a podiatrist regularly to avoid injuries that could seriously harm the patient.
STUDY OF THE FOOTPRINT
In our practice, we perform personalized gait analysis using an innovative pressure platform. This allows us to provide the patient with the most appropriate guidelines and treatments for achieving proper gait throughout their daily and athletic gait cycles.
FOOT DERMATOLOGY
We treat skin conditions on the foot, aiming to relieve any discomfort that may be causing itching, burning, the appearance of unusual skin lesions, etc.
