GYNECOLOGICAL EXAMINATION
An annual gynecological checkup is performed to check the health of the female sexual organs and prevent and diagnose certain diseases early. This checkup includes a vaginal exam, a Pap smear, a gynecological ultrasound, a physical examination, and a breast ultrasound.
IUD INSERTION OR REVIEW
The IUD is a safe, effective, and reversible method of contraception that can be used for years in both nulliparous and multiparous women. Following IUD insertion, follow-up monitoring is recommended for 1-3 months to assess the bleeding pattern and rule out complications such as IUD displacement or migration, infection, perforation, or expulsion.
COMPLETE PREGNANCY CONSULTATION
The first pregnancy checkup takes place before week 12 of pregnancy, preferably between weeks 7 and 10. After this first checkup, visits will be every 4 to 6 weeks until week 36 of pregnancy, then every 2 to 3 weeks until the expected delivery date.
BREAST REVIEW
Breast examination, or breast examination, is essential in a gynecological exam and consists of: observation of the breasts, their symmetry, color, and presence of deformities or skin lesions. Palpation of each breast in a circular motion, from the area closest to the areola to the outermost part. This is completed with a breast ultrasound or mammogram.
